If you could be magically granted any clothing in the world, regardless of cost or time period or practicality or obeying-laws-of-physics-and-gravity or whatever (and, naturally, it'd also magically fit like a glove and/or you'd also magically be granted whatever body shape/size/sex you want to suit it)...

Annoyingly, it is hard to find a good picture that shows it off - it's from the PBS drama The Miniaturist and I loooove it so much. It's what kick-started my whole terrible descent into sewing. I am nowhere near the level to make this, not to mention unfortunately the first and worst hurdle of historical costuming is having to either make or buy an appropriate corset, which is very expensive and/or very very very time consuming and difficult.

Oh that looks really interesting! Yellow doesn't normally appeal to me but the cut is very striking.

I don't sew myself but just keep practicing practicing practicing!! I've followed some historical costumers over the years and they just keep getting better

Y'know those BIG wide skirts from India? Lehenga? God, I wanna wear one so bad. Love a good swoopy long skirt.

Also! Medieval houppelandes! With the long trailing sleeves!

I'd also like to be granted the ability to craft a good mori kei outfit, I feel like I'm halfway there with my tendency towards long skirts and oversized sweaters but I feel like there's something I'm missing in the artful draping of it all...

Not clothing but... I LOVE looking at jewelry from Ancient civilizations. Right now I just wear two tiny earrings, but if I could I'd cover myself in jewelry from 3000-2000 years ago.

As for clothes... probably Regency dresses.
