part 369 prohibition cocktails

Meme, you did it! And on Christmas, too!! How fancy. How was your year? It's almost the new year and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited to enter the 20s. We can finally bring back some excellent slang, like "That sounds berries to me!" or "I guess I'd describe myself as a cancelled stamp." Have a good year... and don't take any wooden nickels!

Enjoy part 369!

why don't people like the name 'Lars' for Ned?

because it’s a stupid ugly name

I don't know? Maybe it's not a common name there?

Because it's primarily Scandinavian. It'd be a much better name for Denmark.

because it's "Sral" Spelled backwards!

The ancient dark god Sral, whose name one must not invoke backwards lest we suffer His divine wrath

As the other anon said, it's primarily Scandanavian.
The name only recently gained some mild popularity in the Netherlands, giving it a young-guy-vibe as well to the Dutch ear. I guess it might work for a modern AU? It'd still carry a kinda Nordic vibe though. And if you're someone who cares about this kind of thing, it wouldn't make that much sense for him to be named Lars 40 years ago, let alone in a historical setting centuries ago.
+ Most people prefer names that are at least somewhat tied to or unique to the country itself.
