part 369 prohibition cocktails

Meme, you did it! And on Christmas, too!! How fancy. How was your year? It's almost the new year and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited to enter the 20s. We can finally bring back some excellent slang, like "That sounds berries to me!" or "I guess I'd describe myself as a cancelled stamp." Have a good year... and don't take any wooden nickels!

Enjoy part 369!

A thought: We don't have to watch any of it exactly at 3, I actually have a friend's graduation to watch at 2:30 which might make it hard for me to juggle. Since it's all on youtube we can easily decide some other time this afternoon or early evening...

Hmmm lessee then... The two Eurovision Celebration vids are ~1:30 each, so watching everything would be about 3 hours. The Europe Shine A Light program--which as far as I can tell is more of a nostalgia thing??--is expected to go for 2 hours.

Personally I'm more interested in seeing the songs, I love me some Eurovision but I don't always have context for nostalgia fests

Would people be interested in starting to watch the Celebration videos at, say, 5pm EDT? I can make a thread with each country where people can poke in and leave their thoughts like we do with normal Eurovision, people can drop in whenever they like!

I like the drop in idea (personally would have to stop by later because busy with errands too)

And this format reminds me of previous Eurovision threads

Alright, that settles that! I'll make a thread a little later and if/when people get around to watching the songs, you can leave your thoughts/jokes/beleaguered sighs about ballads in the comments! I'll be watching and commenting at 5, but people can come by whenever they like.

Also means people can pause and do other things and not worry they'll be missing out on the normally fast-paced thread.
