Meme, you did it! And on Christmas, too!! How fancy. How was your year? It's almost the new year and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited to enter the 20s. We can finally bring back some excellent slang, like "That sounds berries to me!" or "I guess I'd describe myself as a cancelled stamp." Have a good year... and don't take any wooden nickels!

I was just rambling (venting?) with all of that, but it's nice someone else agrees!

Because the last time I engaged with Inuyasha fandom was literally in like... 2005~2006. Back then the extreme Kikyou bashing (Hi, FFN!) was in full-gear and it was super depressing to see, at the time, as someone who really loved Kikyou's complexities in comparison with the rest of the characters. It really was a trip watching it again, at least. Especically since I stopped watching it by Episode 80 or so and never read the manga, though I heard some things about how the story unfolded and how it ended, and was able to get an idea.

Basically I'm here wondering, "is this new series going to be worth it despite the terrible fandom?" The character designs make me want to say "yes" because I really do love Towa's design so far, and Moroha's super cute despite... well, the canon Inuyasha/Kagome, but that was inevitable; and Setsuna has a very nice design too. But the fandom after all this time still doesn't seem worth engaging with at all. If anything, I'll just be watching the show for some entertainment during this Hell year, since a good amount of my other fandoms' series (including... this one!) are still on hiatus.
