part 369 prohibition cocktails

Meme, you did it! And on Christmas, too!! How fancy. How was your year? It's almost the new year and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited to enter the 20s. We can finally bring back some excellent slang, like "That sounds berries to me!" or "I guess I'd describe myself as a cancelled stamp." Have a good year... and don't take any wooden nickels!

Enjoy part 369!

Around this time of year I tend to remember how some people make cuneiform tablet gingerbread, and get tempted to try it (maybe with shortbread or sugar cookies instead?) but then I looked up references and remembered how complicated cuneiform signs are...... :’D maybe after some practice in clay first.

It’s when you make gingerbread and then press ancient sumerian writing into them, so they look like ancient clay tablets! https://www.instructables.com/Cuneiform-Clay-Tablet-Cookies/?amp_page=true

Cuneiform writing was done by pressing a reed into the clay to make wedge shapes, which is what cuneiform actually means, wedge-shaped! It’s a better method than simply drawing rounded shapes in the clay with a stick, which tends to make ridges of extra clay that gets in the way.

They look very cool but it would also be a fair amount of effort for just myself. I think I’ll wait until I really have nothing else to do, or for when parties are ok again!
