part 370 fresh flowers on a side table in the morning
Um, 2020 was a year that happened. 2021 is a new year that will happen! With flowers! And side tables! And mornings! And I didn't want to make some sort of 20s-themed name because look what happened in 2020, look what happened.
Enjoy part 370!

Re: itt: penny for your thoughts
(Anonymous) 2021-01-31 04:42 am (UTC)(link)In my case, I'm putting it down to how dark and cold it is lately. It leads me to not want to do anything, just cozy up and read.
What do you feel like reading?
Re: itt: penny for your thoughts
(Anonymous) 2021-01-31 04:51 am (UTC)(link)Honestly, anything. Historical fiction, contemporary novels, fantasy... just something that sucks me in and makes me want to read as long as possible, get a few hours sleep, then go right back to reading in the morning.
what about you, 'non?
Re: itt: penny for your thoughts
(Anonymous) 2021-01-31 05:02 am (UTC)(link)I often associate that kind of feeling with really good classics. Like Les Miserables or the Count of Monte Cristo or Dracula or something. Stuff that's really compelling or involved. ...Or entertaining dreck, like Jules Verne's stuff.
Stephen King can also get me in that mood. Or... sometimes trashy fantasy novels will do it, like Mercedes Lackey or Anne McCaffery's stuff. (Or Anne Rice, for that matter, which I kind of think of more as fantasy than horror even though it's vampires and stuff). It's like eating an entire bag of doritos in one go, and yet. Can't stop won't stop.
