I broke my no-buy with something that fit within my parameters of "it's technically okay to buy (item related to my niche passion)," but it opened the floodgates... then I spent $15 on another thing... $70 at the store... $20 on this and that. ughh. BACK TO BEING STRICT.

speaking of no-buys, do you happen to be one of these anons? because i had been thinking about getting a sixteen92 resurrection buy but then i saw all the IMAM craziness...eesh.

YEAH that's uh, a lot of drama. It wouldn't be so worrying if it was JUST being behind on orders, but throwing a (sorry I'll be blunt) pity party post up on Facebook and dismissing people's well-founded concerns about lack of communication, lies about shipping stuff out, etc, by framing it as "well because of meanie-weenies, I have to disclose my health problems :((" so that the facebook comments are mostly "you go girl!" instead of "hey why aren't you doing x and y to change things?" is a no-go for me.

I have a list of Sixteen92 stuff I wanted to get for resurrection too, and honestly I do think I would get my stuff eventually (I got all my orders from them in 2020, just uh, late) but... eh. I think I'll get something from Alkemia, instead, they have a similar longevity+throw to Sixteen92 on me.

(What were you thinking about getting, though?_

I... honestly just can't get into video games anymore. I don't know what happened. Even games I was super hype about, like the ff7 remake, just don't interest me.

Same, I went cold turkey on ‘em way back in college. While I’ve played a few games since then, I barely care enough to play even when I have nothing else to do.

Haven't been interested in new games for some time now or at least I don't allow myself to get hype because I can't afford the consoles or a gaming computer right now.

I was SO excited for the new Story of Seasons game. But um. All the reviews from the Japanese release killed the excitement and now I'm back to hoping the new Pokemon Snap doesn't stink.

The Titanic: Honor and Glory drama has blown up and I'm glad I gave up on this game ever happening, because it's glorious.

has anyone done the beta for tumblr's new post maker/editor? It's horrific and will be the final,f inal death-knell of the platform.

I am curious what will funi do about the dub for the new hetalia season. Drop the accents? change voice actors? change dialogue? maybe no dub at all?
It will be interesting see what happens.

If they do, I hope they at least stop to change the dialogue

the lack of papaland is already killing me

Three years ago I joined a fandom and three years later after all the bitching about my favorite character I've finally become disinchanted with it and ready to move on.

On the one hand, I'm glad it happened because I didn't want to hyperfocus on things just to end up dissapointed about how my fave gets the shit treatment not only by the fandom but by the devs as well. On the other hand, it makes me a bit sad because well, I was excited at first and three years of investment is not nothing. But honestly, I'm just feeling exhausted from all the bitching.

Eh sorry for rambling but tl;dr I'm leaving a toxic fandom because it sucked the fun out of a game I loved.
