Part 14 is Part 14

I really liked Part 13's maxing, didn't you? It felt very nice, like a lazy summer day. Everyone just laying on the grass outside, watching the clouds go by, talking about virginity and Canada. I loved reading all the "ask a ___ anon" threads, by the way. You guys are interesting. And weird. You should continue them since I'm sure some people got cut off because of the maxing!

I FAIL, btw.

My to-read pile is massive, so I'll just pull a few off the top.

Nightwatch - Sergi Lukyanenko (even looking at it, I probably butchered the name)
Chrestomanci Chronicles - Dianna Wynne Jones
Guns, Germs, and Steel - Jared Diamond
Napoleon's Buttons - Le Couteur & Burreson
a Doctor Who novel ~
rereading The Dark Tower series by Stephen King

Eeeee, Chrestomanci Chronicles! Man, one of these days, I have to re-read those books.

This! Diana Wynne Jones was a pretty integral part of my Childhood Reading Experience. Lately I'm especially wanting to reread The Magicians of Caprona. And I still haven't read The Pinhoe Egg, and that is sad.

Diana Wynne Jones is just so good! I love her Dark Lord of Derkholm books, too.

She is! Though I preferred Year of the Griffin to Dark Lord of Derkholm. It is less sad and more MAGIC YAY GRIFFINS YAY AND THEN THERE WERE ORANGE PEELS AND NINJA.

I love her books, but they're always so hard to find around here.

Yeah, that's a problem. :/ The library near where I live now doesn't have most of her older books and doesn't buy about half her new ones, which is weird and also annoying. What is it with people and not appreciating DWJ? They are entirely bereft of good taste.

All the Dark Tower love in this thread makes me happy.
