[Japan was one of America's best friends, and one of the few who truly knew America. Even he didn't know what America was honestly thinking most of the time, though. More often than not, the nation would just go along with what America said, regardless of how much or how little sense it made. America couldn't place if it was friendship, or fear that made him do that.]

Never better, buddy! Was just thinking we should go to one of your barbeque places sometime with the grill in the table!

[ Japan does know America quite well, but his reason for not understanding America sometimes or going along with what he said was less.... "fear"?.... and more of differences in their cultures that led to misunderstandings. Regardless, he tended to go along with America anyway simply because they were friends, and he does respect America -- and also because it can be hard for Japan to state his own opinions because of how much he tends to think. Sometimes, it was just easier to agree with America -- Sometimes, he was genuinely curious to try new things, too... ]

[ He still feels something is wrong, though, and normally, Japan's senses tend to be right, if they're not completely off... but America suggesting that did have Japan give him a small smile, anyhow. If anything, America wasn't so unwell that he wouldn't still hang out with Japan. ...Right? ]

That would be nice. I do not have any plans, so...

[America's relationship with England was so complicated that he never knew where he stood with the nation who had raised him. Were they still brothers? America had cast aside that title long ago, and yet he still thought of England as a brother on occasion. Others, he just wanted to be away from him, because there were too many memories that he didn't want to deal with. It was easy enough to scare England away with a few carefully placed stupid comments, usually. It worked well when he didn't want memories...or his other feelings for the jerk with large eyebrows...]

[America sincerely hoped France was not here to grope at him again. He had been America's first...his payment for France's assistance in the revolution back in the day. It hadn't been particularly enjoyable, not that he had much experience to go from. He talked a lot of game, but he had been so traumatized by the event that he avoided the situation as much as he could when it came up. Of course, recent events in his life were changing that, but it didn't change the fact that France's reputation as a good lover was undeserved.]
