No one expects the snowball inquisition!

[DUCKS but just barely!]

Close but no cigar!

[How many cheesy quotes can he handle?! Tries to throw more back at him but he's on the move!]

Are you doing movie quotes now?!

[The answer is none, apparently. At least he's on the move enough to avoid the majority of those. His wall-thing is terrible but it's enough to hide behind while he makes snowballs.]

I thought it was too cold at your place to leave the house!

[Is he seriously asking her that?!]

Duh! What, I'm not supposed to shout awesome catch phrases while kicking your butt?!

[THROWS SNOWBALLS OVER if he's wise he'll pick up what doesn't hit and throw them back!]

I got sick of being inside so this is the second best thing! It's okay being cold if you have fun doing it!

[REACHES FOR MORE but she's out?!]

Prussia! Your using all my ammo!

[Excuse her momentary lull for more supplies. Ducks behind the wall to make more!]

Couldn't we have gone sledding or something instead?!

[What happened to nice winter days inside?]

[Oh, hey, snowballs. He'll just collect those and make more while she's hiding there. He has quite a stash of them now.]

This is more fun!

[She yells as she's crouched over packing more snow.]

We can always go after!

[Hurls a new snowball right at his fort! Can it withstand?! Peeks over the wall to see.]

[No, it cannot. In fact it punches a hole right through and he stares at it in horror.]

Can that be sooner rather than later?!

[Despite that he still sends a few back at her once he can see her again.]

Aw, come on, it's just a little sn- [SPLAT] ow! [right in the forehead]

[She ducks down with a rather loud squeak and launches some back where that came from. His aim is better than she thought it was.]

Oh no, it's on now!

[Like it wasn't before but now she's serious.]

[His aim is apparently worse than he thought it was, because he was strictly aiming below her chin. That response makes him pause, though. He doesn't want to see what it's like to be on America's bad side.]

Um! I wasn't aiming for--!

[But snowballs are raining down on him again and it's time to hide behind his wall.]

[Very physical.]

[But this is just friendly snowball competition! She's not mad, just highly competitive, and she laughs as she rains down upon his retreat.]

You're going to make me run out of ammo again! Stand up and take it already!!

[She has to stop and start making more but this time she huddles behind her defenses properly and doesn't peek out in curiosity!]

[At least she's not mad? But the laughter combined with the rain of snowballs is kind of freaking him out.]

It's good for me if you run out of ammo!

[Meanwhile he's collecting it himself. Once she's huddled down he fixes the hole in the wall--God--and tries to get ready for the next wave.]

But then I can't hit you with more snowballs and can't retaliate!

[CRAP she's almost out, she slows down the rain of terror and snow and focuses on making some more- when she gets an idea.]

I bet you can't hit me again if you tried!!

[She says with lots of taunting.]

You could just surrender!

[Much preferred because frankly she's stronger than he is and forgets it sometimes and that always ends badly.]

...You know that's not true.

[Not falling for it that easily. If she was Prussia it would work better, but it's harder to get him annoyed at Americas.]

Surrender?! America never surrenders!

[Except to herself but that's a different story!! But no snowballs are coming from her. She's sitting and waiting with baited breath as she gathers her supplies...]

I dunno! I'm pretty buried down here, it'd be hard to hit me!

But that's what you do when you can't do anything else!

[She's obviously up to something. So obviously it's kind of funny in a cute way. He just has no idea what she's up to.]

That's true, which is why I'm not trying.

[Oh come ooooonnn attack her already!]

[Whips out phone and waves it in the air over the wall so he can see.]

Hey, would you look at that! I've got some nice pics that Grybauskaitė might like!

[And as if to prove it she opens it up to her wallpaper which surprise surprise is a nice pic of Lithuania in that dress that she got from Poland. Too bad he probably can't see that far.]

[Well, he has no idea what's on that phone. But considering that taunting and the way she's waving it around, it's probably bad.]

[So he does what any logical person would do in his situation: he aims a snowball right at the phone in her hand.]

[YANKS IT DOWN JUST IN TIME as the snowball goes whizzing by. She giggles into her sleeve and baaarely peeks up over the wall.]

Wow you must really not like that picture! Hold on, I'll grab another!

[So she ducks down and does, waiting to see if he sends another snowball flying her way before slooowly putting her phone up... why is she sacrificing her phone for this?! Who knows.]

There are others?!

[WHAT DOES SHE HAVE ON HER PHONE has she been sneaking pictures of him at embarrassing moments or something?]

[He still can't see whatever it is, and he's pretty sure she doesn't have his boss' phone number... Not worth the risk. The phone gets another snowball aimed at it. And then another three for good measure.]

[Has he read the news lately? She has everything if she wants it. The more snowballs he throws the more she grins and she reaches out to grab one that falls close, lobbing it over the wall haphazardly back at him.]

Oh! I bet Prussia'd love this for her blog!

[She actually may be bluffing on the number of pictures she has but she definitely has his boss' number.]

[Of course he reads the news! He's just never had that turned on him, and it's surprisingly irritating. No wonder he hears so many complaints about America.]

[That throw is a little wild and doesn't land anywhere near him. He looks at it and then frowns, his voice unamused.]

America...

[That tone of voice doesn't sound fun at all and despite being called oblivious she frowns before putting on a smile to peek back over the wall.]

It's getting real hard to taunt you if you take it personally! How else am I gonna get you to waste all your ammo on me?! Come on, it's a war!

[If she kept that up much longer he might have said something rude, so it's probably better that she stopped.]

And how were you expecting me to react?

[He still doesn't sound happy, but he's trying not to get truly mad at her. She's just playing around, right?]

Not to get all pissy!

[And as she says it she stands up, holing a snow boulder about twice the size of her head in her hands.]

It's no fun bowling you over with it though if you're not having fun too.

[Well, not much fun. She contemplates it and eyes him up.]

You can't just go digging around in people's private business and then wave it in their faces and expect them to be happy about it!

[Oh yes, he's read the news.]

[When she pulls that snowball out he pales, eying it for a moment before putting his hands up in the air.]

What happened to that sledding idea?

[whiiiine]

I didn't, I swear! It's just normal photos!

[Except the wallpaper, it's not normal.]

[She looks up at the giant snowball, then down at him, then up at the snowball, then over at Prussia, then down at him.]

Ft. Snow is better than sledding- Are you giving up?!
