part 349 heart shaped chocolates

Hi meme! Happy Valentine's day! I hope you have a sweet one. (Get it? Sweet? Because... chocolates and candies. Yeahhh.) Sadly, I don't think a candle in the window for Himaruya has led him home--yet. It's all very romantically tragic. Or tragically romantic. I don't know.

Enjoy part 349!

I think he just likes to give.

New headcanon: he has no qualms or embarrassments about giving

Gets shyer or more hesitant when it comes to getting.

Plushenko was almost paralyzed. Yet the Russian media is crucifying him. He'll never skate again due to this injury.

Of course! It's one think to spank someone else until they're cheeks (both sets) are red, it's quite another for someone to make him feel that embarrassed and squirmy

I....don't think that's the case.

Didn't he say he might try for the 2018 Olympics?

Ahah, I remember saving this before purging fandoms on my computer years ago. Shame I don't know the source for this.

Yes he did. Ayrt seems to be being dramatic about everything they're saying.

I like it bunches! My only insistence is that it not be drowning in oil and/or butter, as my insides will want to riot.

Favourite toppings are mushrooms, tomatoes (preferably sun-dried, but the other sort are fine, too), spinach, and cheese.

...it probably comes from Italy, but I've never been, so I wouldn't know for certain.

The best pizza I've ever had was at my friend's house. Her family made it and it was amazeballs.

I have a terrible relationship with spicy food; I love it, but my tolerance for it is pitifully low. That person who is crying and continually wiping at their nose whilst simultaneously exclaiming how delicious the food is? THAT PERSON IS ME. Especially if the food in question is Indian-style curry, kimchi stew, tteokbokki, jjampong, or sundaeguk.

Re: itt: cravings

Food: Fruits! I just had some strawberries, but I want more. Especially those that I haven't had in a while like kiwifruit, starfruit, lychee, and soursop.

Material goods: Sort of wanting a laptop. I've never had one, and have been able to get by without one for the most part, but it has finally got to that point where not having one is a hindrance, rather than a mere advantage I lack.

Fandom-related: Nerdy t-shirts, rubber bracelets, and pins. Also, the materials and time and above all, a strategy, for completing a cosplay because I only have a month and I'm nearing panic mode.

Intangible: What an above anon said, I really very much would like some self-motivation, a cure for laziness, and a better work ethic, because I've got fuck-all at the moment and it's affecting my ability to function.

Looks: A cross between Monaco (glasses, hairstyle and hair length) and Seychelles (hair, eye, and skin colour; hairstyle on occasion). Alternatively, Fem!South Korea (just add glasses!).

Personality: A mix of Liechtenstein (soft-spoken, looks up to sibling) and Monaco (worrier, perceived as being intelligent), with a dash of Canada ("invisible," shy). Alternatively, Fem!England ("trying to behave elegantly, but being quite punk.").

"His nature is too noble for the world.
He would not flatter Neptune for his trident
Or Jove for's power to thunder. His heart's his mouth.
What his breast forges, that his tongue must vent,
And, being angry, does forget that ever
He heard the name of death."

It is, sorry to say. He's saying he'll try for 2018 to save face, since the Russian media + Russian fans are being really gross about the injury.

The injury he took literally broke a screw in his back that was supposed to keep until he has back surgery later this year. If he had continued doing jumps, it could have dislocated a disc in his back that could have lead to paralysis.

shit, made a typo in the citation

Mystery poliolike illness affects as many as 25 children in California

(Anonymous) 2014-02-25 11:07 am (UTC)(link)
Doctors in California say as many as 25 children are suffering from a mysterious, poliolike virus that is leaving them with paralyzed limbs, USA Today reports.

The cause of most of these cases is not known, health officials say. The average age of the children is 12.

"What we're seeing now is bad," Keith Van Haren, a pediatric neurologist at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, told the newspaper. "The best-case scenario is complete loss of one limb, the worst is all four limbs, with respiratory insufficiency, as well. It's like the old polio."

What yahoo doesn't tell you (or maybe it does - I can't follow unclickable links on my phone) is that the definition of polio changed in I think the '70s. Had this case happened 100 years ago, it would be called polio, plain and simple.

Last thing that surprised you
