part 353 whalers on the moon

We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Or I guess it's almost summer, isn't it? Hopefully it's been well! I've been catching up on work and new movies, all very exciting stuff, I'm sure.

Enjoy part 353!

The Secret of NIMH is a personal favourite. I thought it was well-known, because I'd watched the hell out of it when I was a kid, but everyone I mention it to (in real life, anyway) has no recollection of it. Which is a damn shame, 'cause it's such a good movie (though kind of scary in parts, heh.)

This album cover is just... black. It's like... how much more black could it be? And the answer is none: none more black.

I adore Tokyo Godfathers, it's pretty much my #1 animated movie ever. Satoshi Kon is just great in general.

I forgot but the second Care Bears movie and Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland and Fluppy Dogs movie.

And Alvin and The Chipmunks (the one from 1989). That movie is actually good and I don't even like The Chipmunks.

how many of ebert's "greatest films" have you seen?
