It's... December! I can't believe it's almost the end of another year. Time is weird. Anyway! There's been a lot of neato Hetalia news in the meantime! That game (that I can't get working but will look at videos and screencaps of so I can play vicariously)! The image of the first doll! The musical promo images!! What are you most excited for?

Awww yeah Grunkles! :D These are adorable! Also I bet Dipper by nature wouldn't be able to come up with a hip nickname for this abomination he's created. She'd get, like "Number 2."

Or worse, "Tyrone."

And I will be so sad when the show's really truly over... though, I am also reeeeeally not appreciating Disney's drawing it out by holding back the finale until... an unspecified time in 2016.

This and Over the Garden Wall are maybe my favorite western cartoons ever.

Sorry for the late reply, I had to run to figuredrawing class right after posting!

YEAH GRUNK ANGST! Haha it's been fun figuring them out, I'd never really drawn Ford much before this project!

Oh man you're right, Dipper isn't good at that kind of thing... She'd get, like, "Tyronne" and Mabel would be like "yeahhhh no"

Yeah, it's bittersweet to see it wrapping up. I hope the finale is at least within the first month or so, jeezum crow. Doesn't anybody have regular SCHEDULES for cartoons anymore?!

Seconding that, tossing in Steven Universe as well *u*

I'm glad the show is wrapping up on its own terms and according to plan. I loved the ending of OtGW, and I feel pretty confident Gravity Falls will have just as satisfying a conclusion.

I don't know what Disney's doing, really... isn't this their highest rated show? You'd think they'd treat it more nicely.

Yeah, I caught up with SU a while back, it's really come along beautifully!

Yeah, it's a natural ending for the show rather than streeeetching the concept over too many seasons.

They're doing this BECAUSE it's so highly rated! They don't wanna see it go! And because Scads More Seasons Than Is Truly Advisable is not an option like, say, Nickelodeon took with Spongebob and Fairly OddParents...

Ahhhh it's so lovely, isn't it?? I can't wait to see what they cook up next *u*

Yeah... I can see why they don't want it to end but jeez make like that Disney song and LET IT GO, LET IT GO, UNCLENCH YOUR BLOBBY MOUSE HANDS ALREADY.

Wish they'd make some nicer/higher end figurines for Gravity Falls, I mean if they really want to milk it, it has a pretty large portion of adult fans who would put money toward expensive goods. There are some small plastic ones, but I would like something on the level of a comic or an anime figure, like in the $50-100 range and with that standard of quality.

Steven Universe has turned out to be so surprisingly epic! I love the slow reveal.

Yeah, the ones they made are pretty bad... if they did a line with hot topic I bet they'd sell stuff like hotcakes.

And the character development and worldbuilding are so fascinating!

Maybe someday they'll come up with better merch. I actually like a lot of the fanmade shirt designs better than the official stuff, might get one eventually

I am anticipating the realdeal Third Journal they're publishing next year, should be a doozy! That'll keep the fandom busy for a long while, haha. And fff they barely have any official tshirts, sighhh...

While it'd be Pretty Bad for all involved, yeahhhh I really wanna see what gem society's really like!

Ooh I didn't know about the journal! That'd be pretty sweet too. :D I love seeing the concept art on blogs and stuff, really hoping they could do an artbook alongside the journal.

Actually on second thought I'd rather not have the gems come to earth - but Steven and co travel to the gems' homeworld. Besides anything else, I'd just looove to see what it looks like - and as you said how it works normally, outside of our little band of rebels.

...and before any of that they've dragged on the Lapis and Jasper subplot long enough, I want to know what happens with them already! I love Jasper, what a dick. Kind of half hoping she'll join the crew ala Peridot, half hoping she'll be a diehard baddie to the end.

Yep!! It'll apparently be completely legible, too, no fake scribbletext like the pages on the show! Ooooh an artbook would be fantastic!!

...I would bet you if they actually sold the props from the fake advertisements people who really pay $300 for a jar of plastic eyeballs haha

I wonder what Hirsch will do next. I'll definitely check out any future series he works on.

I'm sure they'll save Lapis... though it'd also be kind of cool if Lapis sacrifices herself somehow to aid the destruction of the cluster, like forcing the Lapis/Jasper fusion into a kamikaze attack. So far the series has been very much warm fuzzies even when more dramatic shit goes down, but given the Rose backstory we also know that permadeath isn't an untouchable subject for SU...

Definitely, keep this guy on the radar!

Whether or not either of them survive, I doubt their troubles are over yet UnU SU why you gotta be so sparkly and positive but also have all this darkness roiling under the surface ;n; Can't the crewniverse bake a cake full of rainbows and smiles and the cast would eat and be happy /kiddingggg, I love me these serious undertones
