part 363 paper snowflakes

It's... December! I can't believe it's almost the end of another year. Time is weird. Anyway! There's been a lot of neato Hetalia news in the meantime! That game (that I can't get working but will look at videos and screencaps of so I can play vicariously)! The image of the first doll! The musical promo images!! What are you most excited for?

Enjoy part 363!

Do you have a local library near you? How often do you use it?

having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card!

Yes! My state has a library network so I can go to any library in that network... I tend to go to one about 10 minutes away from my home library because it's bigger and has a better base selection.

I use it a few times every month. We (finally!) are part of the holding program so I can put books from other libraries on hold and have them delivered to my home library. This has made it a lot easier to read, well, just about whatever I want for free.

How many books do you check out a month, anon?

It honestly depends on my mood, how much free time I have, what books are out. Sometimes I check out 10+ books, sometimes just 1 or 2.

In my town, yes. Near me... no. It's a pain in the ass to get to.

I've been going there every week for writing club - we've been using one of the study rooms - but I don't check books out. Been thinking of getting a card, though....

Yes! Well, local in that it is kind of attached to the school district I work at. Like its not affiliated with the district or a part of it, but it's like right across from the high school.

Well, I go there often! They have a permanent book sale that I look at whenever I'm there, and sometimes I buy things. And in the front they have a bunch of free books that they're trying to get rid of, and I look through there, too, and sometimes pick stuff up. (Do I need it? No. Am I gonna read it? Probably not anytime soon. But they're free!!) Other than that, I'll browse or read books while waiting for my mom. I am kind of disapointed in their folk/fairytale selection (in the adult section), and while its much bigger in the children's section, I feel weird about going over there unless there isn't anyone around.

I don't check books out, though. I have a library card and its not expired and all, but checking out books makes me nervous. I'm always worried that I won't finish on time, and then if I do will I get them /back/ on time, and why should I take out books when I have a whole BOOKSHELF overflowing with books I have to read, and the whole thing just makes me feel anxious and guilty so I don't take any out, which also makes me feel anxious and guilty! Great.
