part 363 paper snowflakes

It's... December! I can't believe it's almost the end of another year. Time is weird. Anyway! There's been a lot of neato Hetalia news in the meantime! That game (that I can't get working but will look at videos and screencaps of so I can play vicariously)! The image of the first doll! The musical promo images!! What are you most excited for?

Enjoy part 363!

Well, you can look forward to some time for yourself.

...to wrITE YOUR NOVEL

Is this the one I think you mentioned about a vampire?

actually that's what I'm thinking, lol

and yes, the one I have jotted down something for is the one with the vampire, thought I also have something for the one with elaborated worldbuilding but the first one is easier to write

how are you doing instead? I am terrible at following people so I don't know anything you might be in fact drawing all the kinky stuff you think about and I might just not know

Ooh, cool. How long do you think you're going to make it? Do you prefer to write on the computer or with actual pen/paper? :o

I'm not, I'm drawing the exact opposite (for work). But I'm fine, somewhat stressed out but that's just the norm and after this one project wraps up I should be free for a couple weeks for the holidays.

it actually just depends on where I am. on the computer I can write more without tiring myself out but I don't want to carry my personal laptop wherever I go and writing on the phone is still too weird for me.

I suspect it's going to be more along the lines of a collection of stories with the same protagonists, so I have no idea how long it's going to be.

it's always cool to have free time! you don't realize how great free time is until you have a job

Writing a novel on the phone seems like some kind of punishment in hell. HADES HEREBY DECREES YOU MUST COMPLETE 10000 WORDS TAPPED ONE BY ONE FIGHTING AUTOCORRECT AND ERRATIC SCREEN SENSITIVITY EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. ADDITIONALLY YOU HAVE BEEN CURSED WITH GIANT YAOI HANDS HAHA YOU POOR BASTARD.

Neat! What's your worldbuilding book idea about?

I dearly wish I could go back in time and punch myself for wasting the good year or so I was unemployed/underemployed after graduation, which I spent moping around feeling sorry for myself rather than enjoying the last long spell of free time I'd ever have.

it probably is, honestly, at least if Satan keeps up with modern tech, which let's face it, he does, considering he probably had a horn in inventing like half of it

The worldbuilding idea one is something like...steampunk Orlando Furioso (tone and characters and some subplots especially) with a sci-fi twist? That's the best I can do to explain without writing for an hour.

That's a mistake literally everybody I know has made. Like I don't know anybody who says "oh, I surely spent my last extended period of time of total freedom in an interesting and productive way!" It's all "god why did I waste so much time binge-watching Simpson reruns and eating ice-cream directly out of the tub, I could've learned a language/travelled the world/write a novel/paint the Sixtine Chapel in all that time!" I think it's just a part of becoming an adult, suddenly you realize time needs structure and it can't just be expected to fill itself with cool stuff and suddenly you're buying an organizer and scheduling and all that weird stuff you thought you would never ever do.

and now I think I'll go to sleep, goodnight!

Sounds intense! But you should totally do it. Do it for Satan, Satan believes in you.

Yep pretty much. I do regret not having traveled at some point, it's on my to-do list now but ughhh carving out the time...

Have a good night!
