so it's hard to explain, but, it was like you were being fully immersed into Auschwitz. It felt real. From the perspective (the film opens with things hazy and you are following along with a Sonderkommando that's probably spelled wrong sorry as he does... well, the horrible things they had to do) to the natural performances of the actors, to the fact that there were multiple languages and you didn't always understand everything. It just felt chillingly, unnaturally real.
