...I had to rewrite this post a bunch of times, because it kept devolving into a vitriolic rant about tumblr culture. But you hardly need me to reaffirm all the reasons tumblr is shit; it sounds like you're on tumblr, so you know only too well how it is. (Also, major disclaimer: at this point I haven't been active on tumblr in many months, if not a year. I'm not even sure if/when I get back into making fanart that I want to stick with tumblr rather than twitter or pixiv.)

So anyway, my advice boils down to this:

Stop caring.

Your art/fic/kinks/ships/tastes/personality/whatever is not going to suit everyone. It's not going to be liked by everyone, or accepted by everyone, or understood by everyone, or "safe" for everyone. And that's ok. It's their responsibility to curate the content that they want to see, not your responsibility to cater to them.

People act like just because you've shared something you've made, that you must be or should be making it for them.

Don't.

Don't act apologetic on tumblr or you'll invite tumblr's blame. Don't act malleable on tumblr or tumblr will shape you. Don't act obedient to tumblr's opinion or you will have effectively placed the collar around your own neck and given over the leash.

You might notice that I generally avoid even jokingly saying I'm ashamed or guilty about any of my kinks. Over the years, I have unfortunately noticed a few artists I follow (and at least one writer, too) getting pulled into drama and it's always because they'd already shown some sign of being worried that people are going to judge them - and low and behold, soon enough here comes the morality brigade sensing blood in the water, and of course said artist feels obliged to post their responses publicly because they care too much about what the public thinks and want to clear this all up, and of course it doesn't matter how reasonably they defend their right to free expression because the witchhunters are just going to wave their torches and scream I'M UPSET! I'M UPSET SO I'M RIGHT! NO MATTER HOW MUCH SENSE YOU MAKE YOU CAN'T MAKE ME NOT UPSET SO I WIN! FEEEEELLLLLLINGGGGSSSS!!!!!

Always ignore haters. Any kind of response, no matter how rational or tactful or eloquent, is just going to feed the heckling. On the bright side, over the years I'd say any hate I've gotten is far outweighed by all the positive and/or dirty messages. And it's also been really gratifying to me to occasionally get messages from people who feel embarrassed or guilty about their kinks and say that my blog makes them feel better about it, like it's not such a big deal, and to me that's really the highest kind of praise.

But I will add this, too: I think that really what's kept me out of tumblr drama is staying distant. I don't socialize much on tumblr. I drop some art off and I leave. I answer messages once in a blue moon. If ever I do engage in conversation, I do so in private message only. I try to come across as cordial enough... but in honesty I have generally avoided friendship on tumblr because I'm wary of tumblr people; so often I've unfollowed folks who started out pretty mellow but over time became more judgmental or sjw or otherwise irritating.

Tl;dr, it's better to be disliked by some people on tumblr than to become tumblr's bitch.

Only one panel, but that was more of a trailer and info show for FF XV (probably half of what is called a panel elsewhere is called a workshop here) - the evil empire's name "Niflheim" sounds extremely silly in German btw. :')

I also went to some of the small concerts they had there (one was GARNiDELiA) and watched a bunch of episodes of various relatively new anime that are going to be available here and the cosplay contest.

But I can't really name the one most fun thing, it was overall a good weekend.

I did, but not the whole time. One was just a simple, pretty much casual outfit of Nyaruko and the other, that very dangerous wolf nation from my avatar.
