With Denmark/Sweden it's just. So appealing. Someone that neither of them would touch with a ten-foot pole, but then... completely unaware.... 8)


Also, with Denmark/Norway (since it was that fanart that made me think of this scenario in the first place) - initially I had been thinking modern, but now I'm suddenly considering historical possibilities, and when it's set could add a whole other dimension to the thing....

There's so much you can do with that. I love a good 19th century ball as much as anyone, but please consider one in the 1950s. Not knowing how to interact with each other and only feeling safe about it with the masks on!! Or power inversions in the 18th century!

...it has been so long since I read Hetalia fanfic, good lord.

Uh. Semi-plotty hatesex? Dubcon or noncon works as well, but like, mainly the thing I'm after is having some tension built in that is tied to larger motivations and concerns (politics, territory, ideology, etc). Like if I'm gonna go for Hetalia fic again the draw for me would be the non-human-ness of the characters.

based on a thing i saw years ago on the kink meme and as far as i know never got filled nor did anyone take the idea but:

nations in modern times attempt to reenact old battles, in historically accurate uniforms with tents and equipment and stuff just like human reenactors do... except instead of humans who're doing it for history and education and all that, these horny old goats are doing it for kink (i'm thinking consensual noncon, though not really abiding by bdsm etiquette nor safety bc ffs if we're going with immortal and very durable characters i don't wanna fuss with the niceties)

but like also an element of comedy and things going hilariously wrong, like it's been 200 years they don't remember how to use oil lamps right, or they're SURE this musket's not loaded it's been in the attic for ag... OH FUCK, or no no it is totally YOUR fault the tent's on goddamn fire, or damn was the ground always this hard and rocky...

also semi-fond reminiscing over The Old Days inevitably degenerating into petty af bickering over What Really Happened at the battle of such and such

i'm thinking england/france, maybe england/america, prussia/france, honestly any of the bitchier nations would do

I Don't Know Who Yet/Prussia, corporal punishment. Like. Very strict, cold, corporal discipline. All business. Maybe Prussia gets a boner, y'know, and gets in trouble for it because this is not meant to be sexual.

I love Austria for this because he'd strictly enforce petty rules, demanding Prussia to keep perfect posture even well into a harsh caning and ruthlessly adding in more strokes if he breaks posture until Prussia's begging and pleading to trade in strokes for certain other well, services, he offers.
