We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? Oh, yes! Everything Lynne writes is gold! The porn is hot. The angst is beautiful and touching without ever crossing the line to melodramatic and I love the way she writes the relationship between Prussia and Germany, whether romantic or platonic.

I hope you'll like it! It's an amazing fic.

When people make Germany either constantly angry, constantly mellow, or someone who constantly works himself to death.

He's not really as angry as fandom can make him out to be. For instance, there's that strip where Japan dresses Berlitz up in clothing, and Germany doesn't react to it other than saying he doesn't mind.

Of course he's not very mellow either. To be fair, I mostly see that interpretation in fanfics where he's been in a relationship for some time. While I think it makes sense that Germany would mellow out a bit when he's in a longtime relationship, I think he'd still remain uptight about things.

And there are several times in canon where Germany doesn't act like a robot who thinks of nothing but finishing work. I'd say the panel where Germany decides that he's done enough work for the day and that he's taking a break is the most prominent example of that.

In general, I think some people in fandom like to flanderize the characters a bit too much.

THIS IS A GREAT SUMMARY THAT LISTS EVERYTHING I EVER THOUGHT ABOUT HER. Her fics are really great, she has such a great feel for both germany and prussia and usually it's one or the other and never both. LOTS OF LOVE FOR LYNNE, her stories are beautiful and downright hot, especially with BDSM themes, she handles wonderfully

I hope she sees these comments and her day brightens, i think she lurks around here sometimes!

Yeah, the characters are so well done! I especially love her Prussia because he's exactly the right kind of combination of a tough soldier whose history is super important to him and a goofball who does and says dumb things. Perfection. I could reread her fics forever.

I still love the portrayal of England in that one never-finished (as far as I know, please correct me if I'm wrong because I'd love to read the rest of it) USUK fic on the kink meme with a premise like Groundhog Day, in that England gets stuck in a time loop until, ostensibly, he gets America to fall in love with him. The America was somewhat nicer than IC - but given the plot premise maybe that was a hint that he's hiding his true feelings? I still wonder who the author was, because even if they have no plans to finish the fic I'd like to read more of their work.

I also love jedishampoo's fics. Great sense of dialogue and banter.

I adore that Groundhog Day fic, too. It's such a shame it hasn't been updated in ages.

Anything that involves Norway bursting into tears for whatever reason. Especially if it's because he loves (whoever) so much.

There are other things, but that's on my mind because I recently saw a textpost where someone said they wanted fic like that. It'd be more in line with something that Denmark might do, considering he's such a sop in the strips. Norway can be affectionate, but he shows that in different ways.
