tho in regards to whether this has happened to me, nooooot really? I don't think... or maybe it has. I have a few ideas I've tossed out on the basis of being way too long to write, or could be perceived as too problematic and difficult to do correctly, but they were pretty easy for me to toss and didn't linger around too much

OP here; it involves a fifteen-year-old nonconsensually engaging in sex acts with and then accidentally puking on his equally nonconsenting brother. Well, strictly speaking he's centuries over the age of consent, this being Hetalia, but you know what I mean.

OP thinks upon reflection it's rather more than "fairly" gross but has seen far worse and her ability to judge is kinda desensitised.

Actually, I was thinking of Korea - nation ageing is weird and I headcanoned he'd be fifteen during the war and go up to sixteen to mark his freedom. I've seen a few fics where characters like Germany and Russia are forced into doing terrible things to family or friends by war circumstances or awful humans, but every time Japan does bad things to his family in fic he's totally into it and I don't think that's fair. Honestly the incest, rape, and puking bother me less than him being underage, which is kinda stupid because as long as it's in text and not drawing format I'm not breaking any laws but I keep feeling as if I am. Ah well, squicks aren't rational.

(Excuse the mid-comment tangent. I forgot to say the idea involved Korea and Japan forced into doing this by a third party, for the reasons I outlined above. Just stuck on how and why this would be done. I'm idealistic with regards to the nations' behaviour and I can't think of any way a human could force a nation with empire-level power to do anything.)

oh boy oh boy!! that sounds super delightful. that sounds like the kind of think that the KM would've been all over, like, in 2008, and that tumblr would probably find incredibly offensive and problematic. I for one ADORE IT 8)

Kinkmeme's still alive, barely, and I did post a prompt there about this idea with a couple other pairings listed if anyone else wanted to do it, though this is the one I really want to do it with. I still feel a bit weird about it, though I've written grosser.

If you're still looking back at these I'm considering it but still stuck. I really don't want to write graphic sex with a fifteen-year-old, and "AU except this character's age is different" seems a copout. Futurefic might be an option and would avoid the historical grossness but I don't know what situation could propel this happening.

i'd say go with far future, and also consider that if you set this far enough into the future, you could explain humans being able to overpower nation personifications (and having different morality and/or lack of respect toward nation personifications) with technological advancements. what if it's a future in which nations are significantly weaker because the very idea of nationhood is weaker? think those scifi tropes of having the entire planet united under one (usually dystopian) empire. what if it's a future in which humans keep their nation-tans under extremely strict controls and coerce them into relations with each other under the belief that this seals a union, settles a conflict, prevents conflicts, or stimulates the economy?

as this is a kinkfic, honestly the outlandishness of the setup does not matter so much as it otherwise might in a 100% serious fic.

Heh, that's true. What first occurred to me with regards to a future setting was Japan and Korea being blamed for some stunt North pulled while they're really trying to stop it, but that's probably just as bad as using an old war and if NK did do something in the near future I'd feel guilty even though that's silly. I feel weird enough about the age thing being a problem but forced emetophagia not being.

Tried rethinking it but the original setup I had in mind is sticking in my head and reworking it doesn't have the same impact. Tempted to go with the handwavey Really 1000 Years Old instead, but my ridiculous paranoia is getting to me. I know I am not in fact breaking a law and if anyone else said they wanted to write this I'd tell them so, but can't shed the feeling I am doing something wrong.
