What the heck is going on in the Free! fandom? Several people on my dash reblogged posts that almost made me throw things out my window because they made it look like there was a character death in the latest episode, and I thought I had been spoiled. I've watched it now, and I really don't think all those posts were very funny.

Curious about other pairings' order

So when someone posts a request or pic or something for USUK, they usually mean just US and UK together in some form and they don't really care about topping order in smut, as long as they are in WUV etc. etc. If they do care about wanting UK on the bottom, they will say so.

However, if someone posts anything with UKUS, they usually mean IN THAT ORDER and belong to a subset of fans who do not want to see UKe and will vocally be teed off when UKe is tagged with UKUS and that brings the inevitable topping/preferences wank, of "you shouldn't caaaaaare who tops because all that matters is they looooooove each other and you're a bad fan."

I've only seen it in USUK/UKUS, but do other Hetalia pairings have the same thing going on, with one term means everything, but the other term is very specific?

Occasionally in SuFin -- I've seen it as Fin/Su when the author specifically wanted Finland to top (though not always).

I didn't ship Greece/Spain and I still sort of don't really (they're way too nice to each other for my taste) but I ship the meme's Greece and the meme's Spain together because they're much too fucking cute it hurts me

also I didn't like Turkey/Greece and Turkey/Spain and I wasn't all that into Turkey in general before meeting wiccat and bunni and some other memers that pointed out that Turkey was a piece of hot ass holy hell

...now that I think of it, I wasn't all that much into Greece as a character before the meme
