Do you ever look at things like this, then at world politics, and wonder if sometimes America does things just to be contrary to people it doesn't like?

Yes, I know this has been in the works for a while and I'm glad they took this step and I wish they would do more, but the timing is too perfect.

By the way I'm wondering how long it will take for gay marriage to be "legal" in all states. It may very well follow the old segregation and such lines where it becomes illegal in several states until only the very conservative hold outs remain, then the Supreme Court expands the law to cover the entire country.
