Hey meme... it's gonna be May! Which means it's spring for many people! Or, it should be, if the weather would decide to cooperate. I've been wanting to plant my jalapenos outside but it keeps getting randomly cold... I just want spicy peppers, weather! I mean come on.

"The official website for the 20th anniversary of the Sailor Moon franchise announced on Friday that there will be an advance premiere screening event for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal anime series. The women's fashion magazine ViVi is collaborating on the June 30 event to celebrate the heroine Usagi's birthday.

The "birthday party" will feature ViVi models and "secret guests." The Zepp Diver City facility in Tokyo will host the screening of the new anime's first episode on June 30 at 7:00 p.m. However, the staff caution that the time is subject to change. Moreover, male attendees will not be allowed — unless accompanied by a female attendee."

She is soooooo not into it. Not at all. Her skin care routine is using soap in the shower. She doesn't do anything to her nails besides keep them as short as possible so they don't get in the way of fighting. However, she does take excessive care over her hair, very meticulous about maintaining its shine and silky smooth fluffiness. Also she's clean shaven. /eyes.gif

femGermany has inherited a lot of her sister's attitude towards grooming, though she's at least a step up when it comes to using nice body lotion over soap. Can't really see her doing any body grooming, maybe a little to keep things neat. To her it's more about looking orderly than looking ~pretty~

And Sweden/Norway usually has reference to past Sweden/Finland and Denmark/Norway if it's a longer fic. Not always with the shorter ones, though.

Saw-wielding man stabs 2 members of AKB48 during handshake event

A saw-wielding man injured two members of the popular idol girls group AKB48 and a man believed to be a staff member on May 25 at an event to greet fans in Iwate Prefecture, police and other sources said.
The two injured AKB48 members are Rina Kawaei, 19, and Anna Iriyama, 18.
Police apprehended the 24-year-old assailant. They are investigating him on suspicion of attempted murder.
The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. in the Iwate Sangyo Bunka Center (Iwate industry and culture center), named Apio, in Takizawa in the central part of the prefecture.
The three injured people were immediately transported to a hospital by ambulance. Their injuries are not life-threatening, sources said.

Billionaire Petro Poroshenko declared victory Sunday in Ukraine's presidential election, following preliminary exit polls that suggested he got 56% of the vote.
His closest challenger, former Ukrainian prime minister and leader of the Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko, conceded the election after exit polls showed her with 13% of the vote.
Poroshenko, a candy tycoon known as the "Chocolate King," is also a seasoned politician.
The election took place Sunday despite a recent wave of deadly violence in the east and threats by pro-Russia separatists to prevent citizens from casting their ballots.
Voters were picking a successor to ousted pro-Moscow President Viktor Yanukovych in a country torn apart by Russia's takeover of Ukraine's Crimea peninsula and bloody conflict with pro-Russia factions.
The unrest has centered in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where separatists have claimed independence following a disputed referendum earlier this month -- and many there did not get to cast ballots Sunday.

The Central Election Commission put voter turnout at nearly 38% as of 3 p.m. local time, not including the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukraine's official Ukrinform news agency reported.
In the city of Donetsk, the regional capital where pro-Russia militias are concentrated, there were no open polling stations, local officials said earlier.
A CNN team driving through the city Sunday morning was not able to see a single polling station in operation. However, there were signs some voters were trying to go to polling stations in areas west and south of the city.
Besides the presidential race, candidates are also running in municipal elections in some cities. The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe deployed 900 observers for the election -- the largest such mission in its history.
Oleksandr Turchynov, Ukraine's acting President, called the polls open and transparent.
"The voting was free, without artificial restrictions and administrative pressure," Turchynov said in a statement.
U.S. President Barack Obama congratulated Ukrainians for casting their ballots Sunday and criticized Russian-backed separatists, whom he accused of trying to block voting.
"Despite provocations and violence, millions of Ukrainians went to the polls throughout the country, and even in parts of eastern Ukraine, where Russian-backed separatist groups sought to disenfranchise entire regions, some courageous Ukrainians still were able to cast their ballots," he said in a written statement.
"We commend the resolve of all those who participated, as well as the efforts of the Ukrainian government to conduct these elections in the face of those threats."

Greece's left-wing party Syriza bucked the lurch right in Europe's elections, beating the country's two political mainstays into first place.
The party posted an estimated 27% of the vote, four points clear of the center-right's New Democracy, which is headed by Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
The results were in sharp contrast to the dramatic rise of Marine Le Pen's National Front in France and UKIP in the United Kingdom, both far-right nationalist parties. Syriza received almost three times the votes polled by Greece's far-right Golden Dawn party, which gained nearly 10% and two parliamentarians despite its leaders facing charges of running a criminal organization.
Syriza's leader Alexis Tsipras said in a press conference Europe had taken "an important step for the end of the disastrous policies of austerity and the return of democracy. The people of Europe [have] condemned the policies of austerity."
Tsipras, who dominated the left-wing stage during Greece's national elections in 2012, said the results were "historic," and revealed a firm rejection of Europe's austerity measures.
"The message is that the disastrous policy of austerity must be terminated. All European nations must invest in democracy, growth, social cohesion and solidarity," he said.
In a statement, Syriza said the European election results showed the government no longer had "moral and political legitimacy" to negotiate with Europe and that the party would seek a snap election.
