We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? i watch con-air with my mom. aside from it being absolutely hilarious, i suddenly understand so many more jokes in homestuck that i completely missed before. or, i knew that they were supposed to be funny, but didn't know /why/. but now i do!

i am so addicted to this show. a++ totally recommend it. it's really good at developing complex and flawed characters, where you're not sure from one scene to the next who you're rooting for but at the same time you usually have an understanding of where they're coming from and why they ended up doing or feeling as they do and ahhhhhhh i have a love-hate relationship with almost the entire cast and it's great

but yeah, i agree. i mean, the guy /loves/ to loom and look all big and menacing. when he does feel self-conscious or insecure, it's the times when his big menacing image is broken - like the april fool's thing when he was dressed in a frilly dress or when france23 attacked and he freaked out because he had expected general winter to put down the threat.

When I'm looking for jobs/reading anti-anxiety book, my dad tells me I'm spending too much "ass-time" on my bed. When I'm doing something else, unless it's chores I've been specifically told to do, it's wondering why I'm not doing "priority things" aka looking for jobs/reading anti-anxiety book.

What does he want, me to stand up and do these things? It's not like I can just hold my computer in my hands and walk around with it.

I apparently "spend too much time in my room", but I have nothing to do outside of my room except eat and do chores, or maybe go for a walk outside. I feel guilty no matter what I do because somehow it's a problem.

According to Teeuwen's thesis, in its Golden Age, the Dutch Republic was renowned as being the most generous country, together with the English!

Both England and the Dutch republic spent 2 to 3% of their gross national product on welfare, which is more than any other country apparently.

It's really interesting, hopefully her thesis gets translated to English. '3'
