We've been here over a year now! I can hardly believe it! Dreamwidth's been pretty good, I'd say, with almost no downtime to speak of and all that! Anyway... how is your spring going? tbh i don't see a problem with it? i'm guessing your issue is the last bit, about 'male energy' but i don't see a problem. when i think about whether a country seems better suited to male or female personification to me, it's also like that. quite subjective, of course, and others might assess that 'energy' differently than i do.

had the sentiment been more like 'mexico has male energy because mexico is STRONG and being a female personification would imply WEAKNESS' then i would have a problem with it, but as it is, i don't see the issue.

as a fan of rarepairings and rare kinks too, who tends to get terrible bouts of insomnia during which they'd read literally anything, I can tell you, the struggle is real and painful

my favorites are the people who consistently mispell the character's names in a different way each time. Veneciano, Veniziano, Venizino, all within one fic. Takes talent.

I've been keeping up with canon but not fandom, so everything that happened since about a nine months ago in it (more or less) would be total news, so please, give me some fanfic recs? I'm going to sleep in a little but I will check back tomorrow if I miss your post.

Basically: I'm all right with all kinds of fic, fluff, AU, etc. with a slight slant towards well-written historical settings, I'll read anything involving both Italies or Ancient Rome regardless of pairing, even if they're not depicted in a positive light, unless it's heavy-duty mindless character bashing.

Also feel free to ask for your own fic recs? I can't really rec anything atm but probably other anons will offer!
