though i guess i'll agree it is all rather dull to me now and used to be more exciting... probably when i was a bit more innocent and this seemed pretty hardcore at the time.

nowadays this is not enough for me in terms of kink, and besides that the writing quality is typically not so great. but that goes for almost all hetalia fic in general. i go to western tv fandoms if i'm in the mood for smut.

I still like their platonic shenanigans, but I don't ship them as anything more than that now. I hate to admit this, but some personal drama in my life soured me on the ship. Long wangst-y story short, a person I met through the ship and the fandom hurt me pretty deeply on an emotional level and I had to cut them out of my life in order to put myself back together. Unfortunately, the ship reminded me of that person, and I just couldn't bring myself to like it anymore. I moved on to another ship as a result, but now that I think on it, it was for the best in the long run, as I prefer that other ship more now.

It's odd that I hardly ever think about PrUK, considering it seems like it'd be my jam. I love both Prussia and England, they're both well-suited to kinky shit, there's potential for both antagonism and comradery between them. But it somehow never fully coalesced into shipping.
