I came back to the Meme because I remembered that at the end of the Eighteenth Century Turkey & France were directly linked together as countries of despotism, tyranny, and lavish materialism which just makes me want France/Turkey MORE

plum. so underrated. i was going to say peach, but a really truly perfectly ripe plum is even better. they also have a unique and lovely texture.

the trouble is, when a plum isn't quite ripe - or just not from a good batch or something - it's got this particularly stinging sourness, it's hard to explain, it's not like lemon-level sour or anything but it's the kind of sour that feels like it sticks to your mouth and you just keep tasting it. >:(
